Mary Lynne Dittmar, Ph.D., President & CEO;
Senior Consultant, Strategic Planning. Dr. Mary Lynne Dittmar is President and CEO of Dittmar Associates, Inc. In
addition to providing strategic guidance, financial management and business
development for the company, she provides personal consulting in strategic
planning, market research, and on our technical contracts. Previously, Dr.
Dittmar was a Senior Manager at The Boeing Company, where she spearheaded
market research and development for Boeing's commercial space program, and
served as a Special Assistant to NASA in negotiations of technical and
programmatic training issues with the the Russian, European, Japanese, and
Canadian Space Agencies. An inspiring communicator, she is
frequently sought out as a speaker at professional conferences, and has
published more than 50 articles in science, aerospace, business, and the
humanities, and is the author of
The Market Study for Space Exploration (paperback), published in 2004.
Dr. Dittmar's awards include the NASA Human Spaceflight
Awareness Award, The Boeing Company Chief Technology Office Award for
Technical Excellence, The Boeing Company Meritorious Invention Award, and
the Richard M. Griffith National Research Award. She is a Fellow of
the United States National Research Society (Sigma Xi) and a member of the
Economics Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and
Astronautics. In her spare time, she enjoys the unusual hobby of
volcano
chasing.
Capt. Tom Brandt (USNR), Vice President and
Senior Consultant, Operations and Mission Planning. Mr. Brandt
is a senior military and engineering professional with over twenty
years of specialized experience in tactical aviation and operational
level warfare. Tom is a Captain in the United States Navy Reserves
and holds a Top Secret Clearance (TS/SBI). He is the primary
customer requirements liaison for operations, training and mission
planning for military and mission-oriented customers. Tom’s
operational experience includes his role as a Naval Flight Officer
with over 1250 hours in the F-14, with additional flight time in the
F-16, F-18, A-7 and A-6 aircraft. He served as an Instructor at the
Naval Strike Warfare Center, and supervised training programs
developed for USN aircraft crews during Operation Desert Storm.
During this time he served as an expert in air-to-air warfare and
contingency plans, and was selected to plan and brief USN missions
against threat countries to then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney.
Tom was mobilized for Operation Iraqi
Freedom and Enduring Freedom, January-July 2003, and there served as
Director, Strike Warfare Commander (STWC) Team onboard
USS Theodore Roosevelt and then as Chief, Combat Plans Division at
Al Udeid, directing a division consisting of 4 core teams comprising
over 60 personnel responsible to the Combined Air Operations Center
(CAOC) Director for the planning, allocation, and tasking of US Air
Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and British Royal Air Force tactical
aircraft and bomber forces. Captain
Brandt's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint
Commendation Service Medal, and Navy Commendation Medal (x4).
Tom consults from near St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr.
Thomas D. Jones, Senior Consultant. Thomas
D. Jones is a scientist, author, pilot, and former NASA astronaut. He
holds a doctorate in planetary sciences, and in more than eleven years with
NASA, flew on four space shuttle missions to Earth orbit. After
graduation from the Air Force Academy, Tom piloted B-52D strategic bombers,
studied asteroids for NASA, engineered intelligence-gathering systems for
the CIA, and as a NASA contractor, developed advanced mission concepts to
explore the solar system. Tom has written
for Air and Space Smithsonian, Aerospace America, Popular
Mechanics, Military Officer, and Military Officer
magazines. Tom's
newest title is "Sky Walking: An Astronaut's Memoir," published in
2006 by Smithsonian Books-Collins (now in paperback).
Dr. Jones' awards include the NASA Distinguished Service Medal, four NASA
Space Flight Medals, the NASA Exceptional Service award, the NASA
Outstanding Leadership Medal, Phi Beta Kappa, and the Air Force Commendation
Medal. Tom is a member of the NASA
Advisory Council. He is currently active in the debate over our nation's
future space exploration policy. He consults, writes, and speaks from the
Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.
Teddi R. Pruitt,
Director,
Training Systems. Ms. Pruitt brings an extensive background in
training systems design, training curriculum development, and training
delivery (instruction) to her work with Dittmar Associates. Teddi works
with our private industry clients to develop and tailor training programs to
best support their goals; supervising training needs assessments, developing
training materials and documentation, and overseeing the implementation of
in-house training programs. Teddi’s previous experience includes managing
a training program for a medical software firm in Colorado, where she
developed training materials and trained the trainers as well as medical
staff and salespersons on clinical medical software. She has also worked
for NASA, where she served as the contractor lead in a 2 year project to
restructure astronaut training for the International Space Station program.
Teddi also supports our education outreach initiatives, having worked in the
Indiana Public School system as a department head, teacher and coach where
she also taught computer skills to teachers at faculty in-service and
chaired Performance Based Accreditation correlate areas.
Jimetta Wright-Eudey,
Director, Organizational Development & Internal Communications.
With more than a decade
of experience in top corporations and government
agencies, Ms. Eudey specializes
in facilitating programs in leadership and team development, using a variety
of approaches to improve new and existing team effectiveness.
Using a proprietary method to assess
team issues, Jimetta works closely with our
customers to design and implement appropriate interventions
such as comprehensive performance measurement systems, group training, and
internal communications. Leadership training programs can also be used
to improve staff productivity and enhance the bottom line.
Jimetta focuses on creating a collaborative environment which
supports problem solving, goal setting, building
team cohesiveness, and working though challenges in a positive and
productive manner.
